Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia Announces Over $44.2 Million In Prop 68 Dollars for Local Parks

(Coachella, CA) – After concerted legislative and local advocacy, Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) is proud to announce over $44 million for parks throughout the 56th Assembly District. This momentous funding allocation for park projects in the Coachella Valley and Imperial County was made possible through Proposition 68, State of California Parks and Water Bond 2018, authored by Assemblymember Garcia (SB 5, 2017).

Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia Announces Over $1 Million in Grant Funding for Vital Imperial County Services and Pandemic Relief Programs

(Imperial, CA) – Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) is pleased to announce that Imperial County will be receiving a total of $1,142,301 from the California Department of Housing and Community Development's Community Development Block Grant Program, Coronavirus Response. These distributed funds would support the County of Imperial’s food voucher, and mortgage and utility payment programs as well as small business assistance, fire station repairs, and sanitation infrastructure for the City of Calexico.

Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia Gains Additional $3 Million For Palo Verde College Child Development Center

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – On Monday, July 12, Governor Newsom signed SB 129 finalizing several key budget investments and approving Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia’s (D-Coachella) request for an additional $3 million for the Palo Verde College Child Development Center relocation and expansion. Assemblymember Garcia joined the college and other partners to break ground on the new facility in May, which was supported by $1 million Garcia had previously obtained in the 2019 California budget.

It Is Official: Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia Announces Eastern Coachella Valley Budget Triumph

Last night, Governor Newsom signed SB 129 offering amendments to the California budget framework and providing final approval on Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia’s (D-Coachella) slate of Eastern Coachella Valley budget priorities. This action officially secures the $30 million Garcia requested for the safe relocation of Oasis Mobile Home Park residents and $7 million to support a critical Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) water infrastructure project along Avenue 66 in Mecca.
